"The road goes on forever",
Many roads travelled, many flights to the British Isles, many recordings released, many dragons slain; somehow Michael Mulvaney has sustained as a musical act solo and with accompaniment, even forming his latest acoustic band, The Apple Mountain Boys.
Long Travel is not his current drive, but one cannot remove “the road” from “a road musician”. In the 2020s the roads are shorter, only including Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania, but mostly close to home around Charlottesville, Virginia.
Europe, New Orleans, Southeastern America, The Midwest, Portugal, and Buenos Aires are now in the scrapbook of the mind. Michael Mulvaney has recorded 17 CDs, EPs and one CD single capturing the signature song for The Long Rangers high altitude bombers in World War Two, “We’ll Say Goodbye”.
Michael Mulvaney albums, ROAD and Balloon Man are in the New Orleans Library of Music at WWOZ FM Public Radio. His Video, the Sidewalks of Luton, is still aired on BBC Public TV in London, England.
“The road goes on forever”, only shorter.
